DeltaFlo®

DeltaPlatform™ Component

DeltaFlo® Unit

Application

The DeltaFlo® is a custom designed drainage unit that initiates stock activity on forming tables. The size of the unit, number of cells, and blade width and angle are designed to accommodate the grades and speeds of specified machines.

The unit works by using vacuum to pull the fabric down onto blades that are mounted to an adjustable grid. The stock activity can be adjusted by pivoting the grid in each cell and by applying low vacuum to the unit. The unit is located after the forming board or, on relatively fast machines, after the first gravity foil unit following the forming board.

Features

  • The adjusting mechanism is a simple cam operated design that pivots the grid from flat to 1/2″ (12.7 mm) below fabric level
  • 316L stainless steel construction
  • JohnsonFoils patented T-bars mounted on precision machined, full length bearer bars for even dewatering
  • Designed for high flow rates
  • Large bottom discharge ducts with integral seal
  • Adjustable mounts
  • Vacuum/bleed connection on each end
  • 1/2″ (12.7 mm) NPT gage/manometer connection on each end
  • Improves drainage, production and sheet quality
  • Grade specific engineered unit and cover design
  • Adjustable design provides optimization through wide basis weight ranges
  • Inhibits sheet sealing on difficult to drain furnishes
  • Unit designs capable of handling large volumes of water
  • T-bar mounted, ceramic and polyethylene blade options available
  • Vertically adjustable blades
